If you want to see something nice, something rare in all Balkan, come to Youth Centre Pinkland. We are in the city of Banovici in the northeastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina . Our beautiful building locates in the heart of the town. You will find us by following the sound of music and laugh of the young people.

The main intention of Pinkland is to improve psycho-social conditions of the young people from 12 to 20 years. At the moment our centre counts about 1650 members. Pinkland offers various educational, cultural, sports and counseling activities to the young people based on their own interests and wishes. The most usual actions at Pinkland are computer courses, video editing courses, film making, sports, music, painting, dancing, summer camps and excursions.

Because the users of the centre have very different kinds of backgrounds, their wishes and interests are also very different. Structure of the activities is based on a quarterly plan. Special attention is dedicated to educating and counseling activities but the youth can also spend their free time just by hanging around, reading books, watching TV, listening to the music or playing games at the centre.

Pinkland has its own democratically elected Youth Council. It is a representative body of the members of the centre and it is able to introduce comments and suggestions regarding the action of Pinkland. Beside the regular activities Pinkland often organizes some special events, concerts and campaigns where the youth have a big responsibility in organizing.

Youth Centre Pinkland is one of the important projects of a Tuzla based NGO called Zemlja djece (Children's Land). It was found in 1995 by a Swiss NGO Terre des Hommes and it was soon overtaken by Zemlja djece in the same year.

Pinkland cooperates also with the local schools, social authorities, police and other non-governmental organizations. The most important international partners are the government of Canada , Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Finnish University Humak and Finnish NGO Etnokult which is also organizing the Bosna Faces world music festival in cooperation with Pinkland in Banovici.
